About dog walks and accommodation
Your dog is welcome here,
either at the River House or at the Full Moon Bush Cabins.
These are two guest farms adjoining each other, a wonderful place for a doggy holiday.
We offer a quiet family atmosphere and are
not a resort. We have a dog enclosure if you go out (not
guaranteed to hold all dogs).
The animal can romp to
its hearts' delight in the fields,
on the riverbanks, and in the water. We have developed a number
of dog-specific trails and will be happy to provide guests
with sketch maps and directions. Our
friendly border collie and Labrador (both females) welcome
dog visitors and once they have all sniffed each other out
they get along just fine.
But, as
with humans, we can't permit hooligan animals and the
owners must be prepared to take responsibility. You must
ensure that your dog is under control when other people or
animals are around. Also, we can't be asked to look after
your dogs or take responsibility in your absence. If you
leave them, ensure that they are safely looked after or
locked/leashed.
Some basic
requirements are:
1. Discuss
your dog with Karen before booking. Dogs should preferably
have a certificate of good behaviour issued by a competent
authority. Dogs must
be on a leash in the presence of other people.
2.
By coming here with your animal you assume full responsibility and liability for any
injury, accident, loss or damage caused by your animal or
due to its presence on the property, indemnifying the owners
of Otters' Haunt against any claim whatsoever.
3. Remove
doggie-doo from lawns and other guest areas.
Many small wild game such as
Vervet Monkeys, Porcupines, Caracal, and Otters inhabit the
property, so we expect you to control your animals and keep
them with you.
